The Minnesota Executive Function Scale (MEFS) The MEFS, developed by Reflection Sciences, is a digital version of the Dimensional Card Change Sort, a well-established tool for measuring executive function in children. MEFS training is a two-hour session, delivered online, that prepares you to use the MEFS App, the only early learning readiness assessment measuring executive function that can be used with children as young as two. MEFS Training: 3pm-5pm ET There are three steps to MEFS certification: 1) Take the MEFS quiz. 2) After you pass the quiz, Reflection Sciences will send you your personal login credentials. Use these credentials to practice giving the MEFS five times with a real child. The child's last name should be recorded as "practice" and will not count as one of your licenses. Please create only ONE practice child in your MEFS account. 3) MEFS POINT PERSON ONLY: If you are the "MEFS point person," for your school, record a video of yourself giving the MEFS to a child (or an adult if a child is not available). Take the child through at least one full level. Read More
